BLANCO Kitchen Taps

BLANCO Kitchen Taps

BLANCO taps are designed alongside BLANCO sinks, and it shows in how well the two sit together. You'll find everything from compact single levers to tall spray taps and drink systems, all built on solid brass or stainless steel bodies and covered by a two-year manufacturer guarantee.

Brass or stainless steel?

Most BLANCO kitchen taps are brass underneath a chrome finish. Brass gives the tap its weight and keeps the finish bonded properly, and chrome wipes clean in seconds and suits almost any kitchen. The Mida, Linus, Daras and Kano families are good places to start.

The other route is solid stainless steel, used for the Candor, Lanora and Jandora families. It has a brushed finish that hides fingerprints and matches a steel sink grain for grain, which is why it's the choice for anyone planning the sink and tap as a set.

Which kind of BLANCO tap suits your kitchen?

For most kitchens a single-lever mixer is the easy answer. One hand sets temperature and flow, which matters when the other hand is holding a pan, and the swivel spouts on models such as the Linus and Mila reach both bowls of a one and a half bowl sink. If you prefer separate hot and cold, dual-lever designs like the Camia and Jax do the same job with a more classic look.

If you want to use less water, look at the Eco and Eco-Flow versions. They're the same taps with a reduced flow rate, useful for a household watching its bills or a new build working to a flow target.

Want the jug gone from the fridge? A filter tap such as the Fontas or Trima adds a separate filtered waterway, and the Culina semi-pro models bring a professional-style spray, some with a sensor for hands-free pan filling.

When the tap has more to do, the collections narrow quickly. BLANCO pull-out taps put a spray on a hose, the BLANCO boiling water taps replace the kettle as well, and the BLANCO WRAS approved taps are where a specified project should start. For sinks to match, and everything else the brand makes, see the full BLANCO collection, or compare with other makers in kitchen taps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are BLANCO taps a good brand?

Yes. BLANCO taps are built on solid brass or stainless steel bodies rather than lighter alloys, and each one we stock carries a two-year manufacturer guarantee. The range is broad enough to cover a simple chrome mixer, a semi-professional spray tap and a system that pours boiling and sparkling water, so you can stay with one maker across the whole kitchen.

What does Eco mean on a BLANCO tap?

An Eco or Eco-Flow model is the same tap with a reduced flow rate, so less water runs through it each time you use it. It feels the same in the hand and fills a glass just as easily. Choose it if you want to cut water use, or if a new build has a flow target to meet.

Should I choose a brass or stainless steel BLANCO tap?

Choose brass with a chrome finish if you want the widest choice of shapes and a bright, easy-wipe surface. Choose solid stainless steel, used for the Candor, Lanora and Jandora families, if you want a brushed finish that matches a steel sink exactly and hides fingerprints. Both are durable; the difference is mostly how the tap looks beside your sink.

What is a BLANCO filter tap?

A filter tap has a second, separate waterway for drinking water that runs through a filter cartridge under the sink, alongside the normal hot and cold. Fontas, Trima and the Catris-S Flexo Filter work this way. You get filtered water from the same tap without a jug in the fridge, and the washing-up water never passes through the cartridge.

Will a BLANCO tap work with low water pressure?

Many will, but it depends on the model rather than the brand. Each product page lists the minimum pressure the tap needs, and some models, such as the Daras Eco, are designed with low pressure in mind. If you have a gravity-fed system with a tank in the loft, check that figure before you choose.

Do you have traditional BLANCO taps?

Yes, the Vicus family covers traditional styling, with twin-lever and bridge designs plus a single-lever version with a pull-out spray. They suit a Belfast sink or a painted Shaker kitchen, where a slim modern spout can look out of place. The rest of the range leans modern, from compact J-spouts to tall C-shaped designs.
