The Bidbury & Co. Midford is a large single bowl butler sink crafted from Fine Fireclay, a premium ceramic material formed by fusing high-quality clay at extremely high temperatures. The process produces a solid, non-porous surface that resists scratches, stains, and fading, keeping the sink looking pristine through years of daily kitchen use. Clean, unfussy lines give the Midford a versatility that works equally well in a contemporary fitted kitchen or a more traditional country-house setting.
Fine Fireclay's exceptional heat resistance means you can place hot pots, pans, and baking trays directly into the bowl without concern about warping or cracking. The non-porous surface also prevents the absorption of liquids and odours, making the sink genuinely easy to keep clean and sanitary. An anti-bacterial glaze finish reinforces that hygiene benefit further, reducing the effort required to maintain a fresh and healthy kitchen environment.
Every Midford is handmade by Master Craftsmen and backed by a lifetime warranty, subject to product registration: a clear statement of the quality and confidence behind Bidbury & Co.'s manufacture. The 90mm waste outlet is compatible with both a basket strainer waste and a waste disposal unit, offering flexibility when specifying your setup. Please note that wastes and overflow accessories are not included and should be selected separately. If you use an instant boiling water tap, Bidbury & Co. recommend placing a silicone mat in the bowl when dispensing to protect the ceramic glaze from sudden temperature changes.
