Kitchen Taps: Mixer Taps, Boiling Water Taps and Pull Out Sprays

Find your ideal kitchen tap from one of the UK's most carefully curated collections. Whether you need a simple hot and cold mixer tap, an instant boiling water tap, a three-way filter tap or a pull out spray model, The Tap Collection brings together over 190 taps from brands including Grohe, Abode, Bidbury and Co., Nobili, Rangemaster and Pronteau, covering every style, finish and budget.

Hot and cold, boiling, filtered or all in one

Kitchen taps have changed considerably. A hot and cold mixer tap remains the everyday workhorse, available as a single lever or dual lever monobloc. Step up to a boiling water tap and you get instant 98 degree water on demand, eliminating the kettle and saving worktop space. Prefer filtered drinking water as well? A three-way or four-in-one filter tap delivers hot, cold and filtered cold from a single spout. For maximum flexibility at the sink, a pull out spray tap extends the reach of your spout to rinse pots, fill large pans and clean the sink with ease.

A finish for every kitchen

Finish is one of the most important decisions when choosing a kitchen tap, and we stock a wider range than most. Chrome remains the most popular choice: it is easy to clean, pairs with every kitchen style and suits both modern and traditional cabinetry. Brushed brass and antique brass have become the standout trend for statement kitchens, lending a warm, handcrafted character to both Shaker and contemporary spaces. Matt black suits industrial and modern kitchens and holds its look well in busy households. Brushed nickel and pewter offer a softer, more understated alternative to chrome, whilst brushed steel sits well beside stainless steel sinks. We also stock taps in copper, bronze, gold and a handful of colour options including cream, pale blue and pale green.

Modern and traditional styles

The Tap Collection covers both ends of the design spectrum. If you are fitting a contemporary kitchen, our modern kitchen taps include slim C-spout and J-spout monobloc models with single lever controls and 360 degree swivel spouts. For a period property or a classic Shaker kitchen, our traditional kitchen taps offer bridge mixer taps with crosshead or lever handles, dual spout designs and heritage finishes in antique brass, pewter and chrome. Brands such as Bidbury and Co. and Rangemaster are particularly strong in the traditional category, whilst Grohe and Nobili lead on contemporary designs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of kitchen taps does The Tap Collection stock?

We stock hot and cold mixer taps, boiling water taps, filter taps (including 3-way and 4-in-1 models), pull out spray taps and traditional bridge mixers. The range covers single lever and dual lever configurations, monobloc deck-mounted styles, and a small selection of wall-mounted taps. You can browse by type using the filters on the collection page.

Which kitchen tap finishes are available?

Our kitchen taps are available in chrome, brushed brass, antique brass, matt black, brushed nickel, pewter, copper, bronze, gold, brushed steel, white and more. Chrome is the most widely stocked finish across all brands and price points. Brushed brass and matt black are the fastest-growing finishes and are well represented across our mixer tap and boiling water tap ranges.

What is the difference between a mixer tap and a boiling water tap?

A mixer tap blends your hot and cold water supplies through a single spout and is operated by a lever or pair of handles. A boiling water tap connects to a dedicated under-counter tank that heats water to around 98 degrees Celsius, delivering near-boiling water instantly from a separate or combined spout. Many boiling water taps also dispense filtered cold water, making them a practical all-in-one solution for busy kitchens.

What is a pull out spray kitchen tap?

A pull out spray tap has a retractable hose built into the spout. You pull the head out from the body of the tap and use it to rinse the sink, wash vegetables or fill pots that are too large to fit under a fixed spout. The hose retracts automatically when you release it. Pull out taps are available in mixer, boiling water and filter configurations.

Do I need to check water pressure before buying a kitchen tap?

Yes. Kitchen taps have a minimum bar pressure requirement, which you can find in the product specifications on each listing page. Most standard taps require between 0.5 and 1.5 bar. If you have a gravity-fed system with low pressure, look for taps rated at 0.2 or 0.3 bar. Boiling water taps and filter taps often have higher minimum pressure requirements, so it is worth checking before you order. If you are unsure, our team is happy to advise on 0330 133 2247.

How many tap holes does my kitchen sink need?

Most modern kitchen taps are monobloc mixers that require a single tap hole of around 35mm diameter. Bridge-style taps and some traditional dual-lever taps require two or three holes. Boiling water taps and filter taps with a separate filtered water spout may need two holes. Each product listing states the number of tap holes required, so you can match this to your existing sink or plan ahead if you are replacing both at the same time.
