The Rangemaster Collection

Rangemaster put a twenty-five year guarantee on a good part of their sink range. That is not a marketing number, it is a company saying out loud how long they expect the thing to last, and it tells you more about the build than any amount of description.

Sinks first, and in every material

Sinks are the larger half of what Rangemaster make, and the range covers more ground than almost anyone else here. Stainless steel is the biggest part. Ceramic is unusually strong, with Belfast, Farmhouse and Fluted shapes in fireclay alongside inset ceramic bowls. And there is composite granite as well.

Igneous is the name to know here, and it is worth being clear about what it means. Igneous is Rangemaster's own branding for their granite composite, a blend of roughly eighty per cent quartz with acrylic, rather than a different material from the composite granite everyone else sells. It turns up on ranges like the Paragon, the Amethyst and the Oridian, and it carries the twenty-five year guarantee.

Belfast sinks and the farmhouse end of the range

If you want a butler or Belfast sink, this is one of the first places to look. Rangemaster make more of them than most, in single and double bowl versions, plain and fluted, in fireclay with a hard glaze that stays white for decades rather than years. They sit on their own base unit with the front face exposed, so the cabinetry has to be planned for them.

For a conventional worktop, the MultiMount sinks are designed to be fitted more than one way, so the same bowl can go inset from above or undermount beneath a solid surface. Keeping that decision open until the worktop is chosen removes one of the more annoying constraints in a kitchen project.

The taps

Smaller in number, and made to pair with the sinks. Mostly stainless steel and brass, in both modern single-lever and traditional twin-handle shapes, carrying a five-year guarantee. Choosing the tap from the same maker as the sink is the easy route to finishes that agree with each other.

Where to start

Go to Rangemaster kitchen sinks if the bowl is the decision, or Rangemaster kitchen taps if the tap is. If you are still weighing brands against each other, the full kitchen sinks and kitchen taps ranges set Rangemaster against everything else we stock.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Rangemaster sinks good?

The guarantee answers it more convincingly than any description could. A substantial part of the sink range carries a twenty-five year manufacturer guarantee, which is at the very top of what any sink maker offers. That is a company staking its reputation on the material rather than hedging.

What guarantee comes with a Rangemaster sink?

Many carry twenty-five years, with others at ten, and the taps generally run to five. The figure is stated on each product page and it varies by range rather than applying uniformly, so it is worth checking the specific model. Even the lower end of that spread is generous by the standards of the category.

What is Igneous granite?

Rangemaster's name for their granite composite, a blend of roughly eighty per cent quartz with acrylic. It is the same class of material as any other composite granite sink rather than something different, so treat the word as a brand name. It carries a twenty-five year guarantee across the Igneous range.

Does Rangemaster make ceramic Belfast sinks?

They do, and they are one of the strongest parts of the range. Belfast, Farmhouse and Fluted shapes in fireclay ceramic, in single and double bowl versions, sit alongside inset ceramic sinks for kitchens that want the glaze without rebuilding the cabinetry around a sit-on sink.

What is a MultiMount sink?

A Rangemaster sink designed to be fitted more than one way, so the same bowl can go in from above or be hung beneath a solid worktop. It keeps the mounting decision open until the worktop is settled, which is genuinely useful when a kitchen is still being specified.

Does Rangemaster make taps as well as sinks?

They do, though sinks are much the larger part of what they make. The taps are mostly stainless steel and brass, in modern and traditional shapes, and they carry a five-year guarantee. Pairing a Rangemaster tap with a Rangemaster sink is the simplest way to get the finishes matching.
